HA Filler Risks and Side Effects

While Juvederm is generally considered safe, there are some potential risks and side effects associated with this dermal filler. The most common side effects are mild and include redness, swelling, bruising, and pain at the injection site. These typically resolve within a few days.

More serious side effects are rare but can include skin infections, allergic reactions, and granulomas (lumps under the skin). Juvederm should not be used in people with active skin infections or allergies to hyaluronic acid.
