HA Dermal Fillers

HA Dermal Fillers

HA dermal fillers are popular injectables that can be used to treat a variety of cosmetic concerns, including wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of facial volume. These fillers can also be used to enhance facial features on patients seeking to accentuate areas such as the lips, cheeks, and other areas that could benefit from more volume or structure.

Some common areas that we can treat include, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. It can also be used to augment the lips. HA fillers are safe and effective and can provide dramatic results with minimal downtime.  An expert consultation can help you determine if HA fillers are right for you.

How long should HA fillers last?

The answer depends on a number of factors, including the individual's skin type and the areas treated. When injected correctly, HA fillers can provide natural-looking results that last for six to twelve months.

HA Filler Risks and Side Effects

While Juvederm is generally considered safe, there are some potential risks and side effects associated with this dermal filler. The most common side effects are mild and include redness, swelling, bruising, and pain at the injection site. These typically resolve within a few days.

More serious side effects are rare but can include skin infections, allergic reactions, and granulomas (lumps under the skin). Juvederm should not be used in people with active skin infections or allergies to hyaluronic acid. If you experience any severe side effects after receiving Juvederm, you should contact your skin care professional immediately.  Your provider will discuss in-depth more serious rare side effects as to prevent any serious long-term complications.
