Laser Hair Removal

The primary principle behind laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis, the matching of a specific wavelength of light and pulse duration to obtain optimal effect on a targeted tissue with minimal effect on surrounding tissue. Lasers can cause localized damage to the hair follicle by selectively heating the target, melanin, in the germinative area that causes the follicle to grow, while not heating or damaging the rest of the skin. Lasers allow us to treat multiple hairs in a single treatment with much more speed and intensity. All laser services are provided under the supervision of our medical director and treatments are performed by licensed certified medical electrologists. All clients will be consulted first to determine if they are candidates for laser hair removal and test spotted prior to their first treatment. We exclusively use Candela Alexandrite (755 nm) and NdYag (1064nm) lasers to safely and effectively treat all skin colors from fair to black skin.
